(I posted this also as a response to Will)
I called Mary today. She said that if they ever consider selling she will let me know and give us first choice.
Before I reached Mary I talked to Mark, who was interested in talking about "the old days" and sounded postively nostalgic. So maybe he is more positive about continuing to own (and rent to us) than we had thought.

following up
Eli and I got a lot of talking in during our over-lapping visits to the beach. Great to have time you Big E (a.k.a. the younger Eli, EKO, the elder twin, etc).
To follow up with everyone on one conversation Eli and I had, it seems worth while to approach Mary (?), asking for first right of refusal in the event she or her family decide to divest themselves of the beach property. It would be a shame if we (whomever "we" are) did not at least have the opportunity to consider purchasing the cottage should that option exist.
Food for thought...

Me too! I love blogs!
Great Idea
Thanks to Eli and Quoia for having a great idea and making it happen. The homepage rainbow pic is terrific, as are the other pics posted.
Blizog!
Our thoughts were that perhaps the family could post stuff like the email Stevie sends out at the beginning of each season with the house phone numbers, as well as the emails we send to each other about our schedules and when we might be able to come. That way we can coordinate our time efficiently, and perhaps find better points of overlap. Also, we can post pictures while we are there, notes to each other that are not necessarily Salisbury related, thoughts, menus, and stories, etc. Fun fun! Everyone should feel free to contribute whatever they want, whenever they want.

Hello!
Hello all! Q and I were talking one day, on the beach, and we thought that perhaps it would be cool if the family had a communal bulletin board for all things Salisbury. I proposed to her that perhaps a blog, where everyone has author rights, would work, and so this blog was born. I plan on posting a large group of pictures once I get to Lexington this weekend, but for now, I thought I would get the ball rolling. Here are some preview pictures!
Love to all,
Eli
